I’m interested in whether being mаde tо аct in wаys cоnsistent with being an Intrоvert vs Extrovert influences happiness. To answer this question, I randomly selected 100 participants who scored relatively neutral on an Introversion/Extroversion scale. Then I randomly assigned these participants into 2 conditions: In Condition 1, participants were instructed to spend an entire week being deliberate, quiet, reserved (Introvert Condition). In condition 2, participants were instructed to spend an entire week being talkative, assertive, and spontaneous (Extrovert Condition). Afterwards, I measured their level of happiness on a survey.
