Jоhn wаs recently аdmitted tо the Emergency Rоom in а very confused state. In addition, his daughter, who accompanied him to the hospital told staff that he had a right ankle injury which prevented him from standing up and presented significant mobility limits. He was then transferred internally for an overnight stay (or more). When the nurse on his floor checked him in to the room, reviewed his paperwork, and asked him if he would go ahead and go to the rest room on his own. When he attempted to stand, he fell back into the bed saying that his ankle hurt. The floor nurse found no mention of any mobility issue in the paperwork she had. In terms of “mistakes” and “slips”, describe how these could apply in this situation to both the ER Staff as well as the hospital floor nurse.
