This was arguably bolstered by widespread supportfor reversing Iraq's 1990 conquest of Kuwait, but Russia's seizure of Crimea in 2014 and fullscaleinvasion of Ukraine in 2022 represent notable challenges to the idea of a territorial integritynorm. Using theories of international law, institutions, and war, what (if anything) can we inferabout the territorial integrity norm---as well as the postwar order more generally---from conflictsover territory that have emerged in recent decades?
