Type yоur essаy here (5 pаrаgraphs - intrоductiоn, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion). Each of your body paragraphs should explore, explain, and exemplify . You must integrate textual evidence from the story (3 pieces is generally sufficient) and explain how this textual evidence supports what you are saying about these possible causes). You have 145 minutes to complete this essay. You may tape your outline to the mirror behind you for easy reference (words/phrases on your outline only other than thesis and quotes).  Here is an example of MLA Format Research Paper MLAsample (1).pdf   After reading “The Black Cat” by E.A. Poe, decide upon a medical (mental) diagnosis for the narrator (it may be just one illness or a combination of illnesses). Research information concerning various forms of mental illnesses (or alcoholism) as well symptoms, warning signs, characteristics, etc. If you believe that this narrator is suffering from a mental illness, determine from which specific illness or illnesses the narrator suffers. You will need to locate secondary (academic, scholarly, peer-reviewed) sources that discuss this story and its narrator as well as medical authorities on the subjects/illness(es) that you have chosen.  For this writing assignment, you will offer your diagnosis and explain (in an attempt to persuade your reader of your opinion) why you believe this, using specific textual evidence from the story and information from your outside sources (at least two secondary sources, plus the story itself, which is your primary source) – all of which should be cited both parenthetically as well as in an MLA-formatted Works Cited List. Sources should be scholarly, academic, peer-reviewed sources found either through Alabama Virtual Library, Google Scholar (PDFs), or Google (no .com or .html sources - find .edu, .org, .gov (legitimate academic or professional sites).  Your Works Cited List should then be comprised of at least four entries – the story itself plus two other outside, academic, formal sources and medical sources (pdf documents preferably). You should submit this information to me in a chart containing specific information and links for each source (see the instructions for this provided in the dropbox where you will submit these sources). BEFORE YOU SUBMIT: Your thesis statement, which should indicate your diagnosis and the reasons why you believe what you believe, should be stated at the end of your introductory paragraph. Please highlight your thesis statement in light green. Topic sentences should directly reflect the statement made in your thesis statement, as we have studied throughout the course of the semester. Please highlight each topic sentence in light blue (topic sentences should be present on body paragraphs). Be sure to end each body paragraph with a concluding sentence that reiterates the point being made in that paragraph as well. Please highlight concluding sentences of each paragraph in light pink (concluding sentences should be present on body paragraphs  Body paragraphs should contain a combination of information from your sources as well as your own thoughts. You should make your claims about the narrator and then support those claims with quotes, partial quotes, and summarized/synthesized (reworded) information from secondary sources, medical sources, and your primary source (textual evidence from the story). Your claims must be corroborated by these sources. Thus, your paper should be filled with parenthetical and in-text citations. Please highlight these citations in yellow (not the quotes or details - just the citations). For example:           In the story, Poe writes, “I suffered myself to use intemperate language to my wife. At length, I even offered her personal violence” (Poe 6).           In an article published by Marcos Buday, he says “Nevertheless, alcohol in itself is not the cause for this behavioral shift because a person’s actions      are motivated by his subconscious desires and that means that there must have been the emotion of hatred present prior to the protagonists drinking problems” (12).
