Remember that the limbic regions that we discussed in the first “Emotional systems I” lecture are examples of cortical components of individual cortical modules. I gave an example in the subsequent lecture of the role of the cortical amygdalo-striato-pallidal module in learned RAGE and FEAR behavior (ie. “object conditioning”).
