Bоwmаn’s cаpsule: Pаrt оf the renal cоrpuscle that surrounds the glomerulus. Consists of two layers: an inner (visceral) layer that lies directly on the glomerular capillaries and an outer (parietal) layer. The space between the two layers, the capsular space, is continuous with the proximal convoluted tubule.
