Student Honor Code As a student at the University of Florida…

Questions

Student Hоnоr Cоde As а student аt the University of Floridа, you are to adhere to the Student Honor Code.  "Any individual who becomes aware of a violation of the Honor Code is bound by honor to take corrective action." As Section 3c states, "A student shall not collaborate or consult with another person on ANY academic activity unless the student has the expressed authorization from the faculty member."  This includes collaborating when not authorized to do so on an examination, take-home test, etc. With that said, you are to take this exam INDIVIDUALLY.  Taking this exam in pairs or groups either at the same time, one after the other, or receiving any help is considered cheating.  I, Dr. Garcia-Guettler, will bring it up to Student Honor Court if I suspect that any cheating was involved when taking this exam. Additionally, "It is unethical and a violation of the UF Student Honor Code to request an unjustifiable grade adjustment (UF Student Honor Code: “Conspiracy to Commit Academic Dishonesty”)." Just to clarify and exemplify...an 89.99999% equals a “B+” semester grade as does a 92.99999999% equal an "A-" semester grade in this course. Under NO circumstances will additional extra credit assignments, extra points, or fractions of extra points be given.   As identified above, asking/requesting for extra points in any form (i.e., via email, phone call, etc.,) is a violation of the UF Student Honor Code. ANY violation of the Student Honor Code will result in a referral to the Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution and may result in academic sanctions and further student conduct action. By marking "yes" below, you are indicating your awareness of UF's Student Honor Code Policy and that you will abide by it.
