She is in the early stages of Parkinson's Disease and the neurology report states "normal cognitive function based on MMSE score of 27/30 with higher scores indicating greater function." During the IE the patient reports having difficulty getting adjusted to her new living situation. She states "things are different here, I had a system at home that helped me to remember when to do things, and no one was watching my every move. So what if I sleep through lunch, all they do is feed you here anyway." Is further cognitive assessment indicated? If so what standardized tool would you select?
