Write the solo in concert pitch in a register that is comfortable in either treble or bass clef; you don’t need to be concerned with absolute pitch. Two tips for using the audio player: The time line on the track shows the current playback location on the left and the end time for the track on the right. When you hover your curser over the time line, it displays the timing of your cursor’s location. You can choose where you want to start the track by moving your cursor to that timing and clicking that point. With this you can move the starting point of the track forwards or backwards in one-second intervals. This will help you in re-listening to very small segments of the track. On the righthand side of the player it says “1x.” This refers to playback speed. Click this and you can also choose “0.5x.” Since this feature is available on the player, you may use it if it is helpful to you.
