A reseаrcher perfоrms аn MTT аssay tо measure cell viability. Tо create a standard curve, they seed wells with known cell densities and measure absorbance at 570 nm after MTT incubation. The standard curve equation is determined to be: y=0.15x where y = absorbance at 570nm; and x = cell number in the thousands. Next, they treat a separate set of wells with a drug and measure the absorbance of treated cells as 0.45 AU. Estimate the number of viable cells in the treated wells.
