After reviewing the fоllоwing repоrt whаt is the priority nursing аssessment аt this time? Infant was delivered about 5 hours ago without complications after a normal spontaneous vaginal delivery. RH negative but group B positive with two doses of antibiotics prior to delivery. Baby boy is 40 weeks/2 days. Apgars 9 & 9. One point off for color. Wt 8 lb 1 oz, Erythromycin and Vitamin K given. Able to breastfeed right away after delivery for 20 minutes. Ls are clear, hypoactive BTs, Reflexes intact ad moving all extremities well. No urine output or stool yet. Vital Signs half hour ago were temp 37c axillary HR 138 respiratory rate 50, irregular. Acrocyanosis present. Both parents are resting with baby at bedside. Initial BF attempt with skin to skin with adequate latch for 5 min each side.
