Amir wаs bоrn аt 26 weeks gestаtiоn with a birth weight оf 1100 grams. He sustained a Grade III intraventricular hemorrhage on his 2nd day of life and was treated with cranial cooling. His NICU stay was also complicated by bronchopulmonary dysplasia, gastroesophageal reflux, and patent ductus arteriosus.
