Which knee ligаment wоuld prevent аnteriоr trаnslatiоn of the femur about the tibia? posterior cruciate ligament *I got several emails about this one.  Anterior translation of the femur about the tibia would be the femur sliding forward on top of the tibial plateau...imagine a book sliding off the edge of the front of a table.  The PCL would get tighter the more forward the femur moved on top of the tibia.
