The prepаrаtiоn оf lаb repоrts for submission will often require the manipulation of files (PDF) in particular, scanning PDFs (suggestions for using your phone as scanner are provided on the "Computer and Technology Resources Available to you" page of the Start Here module. Keep in mind that for an online course some mastery of computer skills is required. This question will require several tasks to be completed as it simulates the submission of a lab report (4 steps). Note: There is a multitude of tools available for completing this task. I offer a few suggestions below, but any similar alternative can be used. Multiple files can also be combined in PowerPoint, Word, Google Docs, etc. Apple formats (Pages, Numbers, etc.) are not allowed as I do not own Apple devices and can't see the files. Also "photos" of the computer screen from your phone are not acceptable for a report submission. 1. You must extract the last three pages (6, 7, and 8) of the report document here: Faraday Test Report.pdf. You can use any tool available. I recommend the use of PDFSam or the online Adobe PDF Splitter (update - may no longer be free). Other tools you may use freely are (there are many free options with a simple Google search): https://www.ilovepdf.com/ https://tools.pdf24.org/en/ https://smallpdf.com/ 2. Download the included Excel file (data and graph). It will often be necessary to include graphs on your report. You will save the graph in the Excel file as a PDF to include with the report. There are multiple ways to do this. A suggestion is to (a) click on the graph to select it, then (b) go to "File" and save the file as a PDF (select PDF on the file types). If the graph is selected the generated PDF will include only the graph. See the image below to know when the file has been selected. 3. Combine the PDF files for step 1 ("Data" from report) and step 2 (graph) into a single PDF file. I suggest to use PDFSam to combine the files, or use the Adobe Merge tool online. 4. Submit the single PDF file here.
