The night RN reported during the hand off report that patient's HR has been around 120 to 130 in the last 30 minutes. He is receiving IV maintenance fluid of D5W + NS at 50 cc/hr. BP is 90/50, RR 26, O2 Sat 91% on RA, Oral temp 98.6 F.  The patient is complaining of slight SOB and chest discomfort. Lungs sounds are clear, No peripheral edema.Why should the nurse be concerned about the patient's elevated heart rate?
