Essаy Prоmpt (just аs а reminder) Select 3 pоems and analyze each оf them. DO NOT SIMPLY REHEARSE THE POEMS. I know the poems, so tell me why they are meaningful instead. Topics for analysis include theme, style, poetic devices, historical or cultural context, and your own personal reception of the poems. Strive to provide (at least) 1 body robust paragraph of analysis for each poem including at least 1 direct quote from the poem. Try to find some link between the poems (you could look for especially powerful metaphors across 3 poems, investigate 3 poems that have the same theme, or even analyze the development of style by looking at 3 poems from different periods in history). Pick 3 poems from the Module 3 poetry packets to analyze or select one of the film adaptations covered in class. You will need at least 3 body paragraphs to flesh out your analysis. Begin and end each paragraph with a rhyming couplet. Write in 3rd person, but use 1st person for personal reactions to the poem. Do not use 2nd person (you/your) What is your main idea, your argument or analytical point? Break it down into multiple (at least 3) claims.
